About Me

I am a Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Economic Education at the University of Alaska Anchorage. I received my PhD in economics from the University of Rochester. My undergraduate degree in economics is from Macquarie University in Sydney.
I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Before coming to Alaska I was working at the Australian Treasury in the capital city, Canberra. I taught economics for a year in Singapore at Nanyang Technological University. I have a particular interest in China, where I have visited and given short talks to students on economics, and collaborated with Chinese faculty.
